Releasing 2022: A Spoonful of Faith Children's Book

I am excited to announce I am working on a children’s book with HarperCollins Children’s Books releasing 2022. The book, A Spoonful of Faith, is about a little girl and how she uses a spoonful of faith to get through her day.

This has been such a dream come true for me. Totally a divine situation. The book I illustrated, When I Fly with Papa by Dr. Claudia May somehow ended up on the desk of an editor at Harper and she reached out to me to see if I was interested in working together. That is now transpiring into a book deal that I am so giddy about.

There have been many seasons of wrestling with God about being an entrepreneur. MANY times I wanted to throw. in the towel. MANY times I have sought other work to keep us afloat financially. MANY times I didn’t think I would be given an opportunity like this as an upcoming black female illustrator.

But, God.

He is faithful and I am so thankful that He carefully orchestrates our paths. He’s got a greater plan for us than we do ourselves. So stay on the lookout! The book will be releasing around Mother’s Day 2022. My hope is that you will just be faithful with your gift, and see where God takes it. That’s the key - stay confident and consistent and do the work and it will pay off in great dividends.
